Mimics

Mycotrophic Host Zed
These are particular zombies that are host to Overgrowth plant life.
Pine Clutch Patches: Usually found growing on shamblers deep in the Overgrowth Pines. Zed that host a Pine Clutch Patch are persistent - like a weed that won’t go away until you take out the root, the Pine Clutch Patch zed will continue attacking its target until either it or the prey are taken to the ground.
Bleeding Bouquets: These zed are host to Bleeding Bells, named such for the dark red coloration of both the stem and the flower. It is better known, however, for its strong scent - which those with aberrant abilities report to be intoxicating. This is likely an evolutionary advantage that allows the plant to draw in highly aberrant hosts, in which it germinates best.
Pale Bloom Gardens: Much of what was recognizable as the host has been overtaken by spongy, ghostly flowers and grey vines. Pale Bloom Gardens want to spread, and will use their host to incapacitate anything they can possibly spread to.
Grave Antibody Undead
Charnel Carrions: With formerly-Strain features twisted in vulture-like visages, these Grave Antibody Undead hunt by anomalous and necrokinetic resonance prey touched in some way by death and the Mortis.
Mottled Shamblers: These Grave Antibodies are Undead that are produced via a shedding - a Mortis reaction to harm or interference - and spread Deathsick, a disease that causes adverse reactions to Mortis phenomena.
The Workers: These ancient, massively psionic Grave Antibodies most prominently hailing from the Everliving Wood are Undead known to defend the Grave against threats, with a particular historical connection to the formerly existent Taleholders and their machinations. Unable to be harmed except by those currently immune to Anomalies or through rare, special means, they pose a formidable threat. They are known to stack Cairns of Cracked Psionic Crystals, as-yet always-unfinished ritualistic constructions with strange properties.
Devout Dead
Faith-linked Undead are a recurring threat in the settlement of Barker Meadow Reservoir since it took on its name. The latest scourge on the faithful are the Devout Dead, which are mockeries of Lineage religion that are linked to, and the Bane of, a given faith.
Choir Angels: These most basic of Devout Dead are known for their humming and guttural dead “chanting” as they work with others to consume the faithful, or anyone who gets in the way.
Supplicant Angels: Wearing flowing clothes, with faces obscured, these Devout Dead serve to support a Broken Angel in its attacks on Lineages.
Broken Angels: The Undead of powerful and zealous faithful, these Devout Dead brutalize faithful and even can launch uniquely terrifying attacks on those of little faith. The Broken Angels are a scourge of Barker Meadow that reminds residents of horrors past.
Critters
Profane Wolves
Local to Barker Meadow Reservoir and the surrounding areas, these Critters are rumored to be linked to the old Aberrant-hunting Witch Wolves. They hunt a specific faith, which changes throughout the year in a process the locals call The Trials.
Grave-Distorted Creatures
Warped versions of Critters, Grave-Distorted Creatures in their lifecycle and drives always have a link to the Gravemind and its activities.
Gravelings: These are smaller, less formidable Critters that have been exposed to Mortis mass or Aberrant phenomena, becoming crystalline and fungal. They patrol areas with Mortis activity and tend to fight beside other Grave-Distorted and Undead.
Usurpers: Warped by exposure to Cracked Psionic Crystals, Usurpers absorb biomass and Infection to survive via Cracked Psionic Crystal growths on their bodies.
Sin-Eater: Fox-like creatures with mottled fur decorated with fungus and crystals that hunt down Strains, Sin-Eaters psionically compel their prey to confess and even atone for what the Strain sees as “sins.” Sin-Eaters are known for leaving prey bleeding out at the Morgue to “feed sins to the Mortis.” These Grave-Distorted Creatures have spread from their graven origins in Barker Meadow to other settlements, haunting the Wastes and brutally reminding Strains of their transgressions in the face of impending death.
Radbits
Rabbits were a menace to farmers of the West long, long before the fall, but Radbits are a special breed - mutated by the radiation-dense crops of Silent Ocre, these large rabbits have immense appetites and are prolific breeders. While not outright threatening, Radbits are a particular nuisance, raiding pantries and even snatching food from supply bags and loose hands when the opportunity presents itself. A rare few, the fabled “Jackalopes,” mutate horn-like growths which they might use when threatened, but are largely similar to their hornless kin.
